Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year at Martin Grade School! As the principal of MGS, starting my 4th year, I am proud and excited to be heading into what will be another amazing year for our students, staff, and school community.
At Martin Grade School, we are focused and committed to providing a school culture in which every student can thrive and achieve academic, social, and personal success within a safe, nurturing school environment.
As your child's first teacher, the importance you place on your child arriving on time, reading daily, completing homework, and respecting others will surely have a positive impact on his/her behavior and academic success.
In order to help ensure student success and build a positive school culture, it takes a team effort. As parents, you are a vital part of the MGS educational team. Communication and participation are two features that help to define and build effective parent and community involvement within schools. This year, let's all work together to enhance and build a strong MGS school community.
