On behalf of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Bennett County Middle School, Ms. Schomp (6-8 English Teacher) is proud to announce the 2024 American Legion Essay Contest winners:
Jersey Frederick (8th Grade), Kesler Brunsch (7th Grade), and Shayla Lone Wolf (6th Grade)
Students had to write an essay, staying within the parameters of an assigned grade-level word count, while answering the question, "What does freedom mean to me?" The category winners' essays will be sent on to the District 2 ALA level for further judging. The three winners will be honored at the local American Legion Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 23rd.
