Please take time to fill out this survey from the Department of Education regarding the CTE programs at Bennett County High School. The results go directly to the state, not the school. It takes 2-3 minutes. Thank you. https://forms.gle/jpRvAUvMkMNceXKq8

This week, the National Honor Society presents six more Bennett County High School graduates. Tegyn Kolb Tegyn Kolb plans on going to the Professional Salon Academy in Rapid City. Her favorite memory in High School is her sophomore English class. One thing she would change about BCHS is the school spirit the kids have. Her biggest challenge is staying on task during Mr. Waln's class. Tegyn's biggest accomplishment is being the first state secretary for JAG. If she could explain her senioritis it would be doing enough work just to pass. Her favorite quote is “I make bad decisions frequently, It’s fun” -SZA. Finally, Tegyn 's biggest fear is her mum. Claire Pearman Claire Pearman plans on going to college to major in Education. Her favorite high school memory is her last homecoming game. Try to get involved and don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone is Claire’s advice to underclassmen. This year Claire was able to be a page at the State Capitol which is her biggest accomplishment. The biggest thing that surprised her in high school was the hard deadlines. Her biggest fear is snakes and her biggest high school pet peeve is when people don’t have school spirit. Her favorite quote is “Make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” -Taylor Swift. Alison Novotny Alison Novotny plans to go to the University of Sioux Falls and major in Biology. Her advice to underclassmen is to get your work done on time. Her biggest challenge throughout high school is staying up on her work. Alison’s biggest accomplishment was going to Hawaii for choir. The biggest surprise about high school for her is that it’s not as hard as you think as long as you keep up with your work. In ten years she sees herself out of school working at a job she likes. Her biggest high school pet peeve is people walking slowly in the hallways. Her favorite quote is “If you’re scared just be scarier than whatever is scarring you” -Thumper. Dante Rascher Dante Rasher plans on going to SDSU for civil engineering. His favorite memory at BCHS is senior year homecoming week. Get your work done, organize, and have fun, live life is Dante’s advice to underclassmen. His biggest challenge in high school was English and organization. Dante's biggest accomplishment is going to 4-H National Shooting Sports and All-Conference Football. Procrastinating is his major senioritis symptom. Something that surprised him about high school is how much fun you can have. Something that no one knows about him is that he’s left-handed. His favorite quote is “The older you get the more rules they’re gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N.” -Matthew McConaughey Taytlin Dillon Taytlin Dillon’s plans after high school are to go to college and become a nurse. Her favorite qualities of a teacher is being loving, caring, and trustworthy. If there was one thing about Bennett County High School she could change it would be changing the school lunches because they aren’t that good. Her advice to underclassmen is to listen to their teachers because they are always right. Getting 2nd place in prepared speaking at State JAG is Taytlin’s biggest accomplishment. Taytlin’s biggest fear is not graduating. Alex Yellow Boy Alex Yellow Boy plans on working at Walmart or Menards for a few years and then going to college. His favorite BCHS memory is becoming a part of homecoming royalty as a Senior. Personality, helpfulness, and kindness are his favorite qualities of a teacher. You need to learn how to take one day at a time, cherish every moment you have, and just keep working hard, like one assignment at a time is his advice to underclassmen. Alex’s biggest accomplishment is being involved in Football for 4 years and just being a senior in general. His senioritis symptoms include lack of motivation, falling behind on homework, experiencing a low grade, and procrastination. “You will never know the value of every moment until it becomes a memory” -Dr. Seuss is his favorite quote.
